Tabernacles Tour Itinerary 2009

Thursday, October 1
You MUST be at DFW no later than  noon to clear security in time for our 4 pm flight.
Friday, October 2
Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport where our guide and driver will meet us and assist us with our arrival. We will go immediately to the Galilee where we will check into our lovely accommodations.  Overnight on the Galilee.
Saturday, October 3
We will begin our time in the Land worshipping the G-d of Israel with the people of Israel.  Carmel Assembly sits on the highest peak of Mount
Carmel.  Afterwards we will overlook the very place where Elijah defeated the prophets of Ba’al before we go to Nazareth Village where you will get a taste of the life of Y’shua as a child as you explore a recreated first century village like the one in which He grew up. Then, we will go to the city of Sephoris, where Joseph most likely taught Y’shua his own trade. There we will visit with a Messianic family and will enjoy some of the proceeds of their goat and sheep farm. Gideon’s Spring will refresh us and separate the warriors of G-d from the rest.   Overnight on the Galilee.
Sunday, October 4
This is our day to encircle the Sea of Galilee and become intimately acquainted with the towns and areas of Y’shua’s ministry as written in the Gospels. You will never read your New Testament the same after today!   We will sail on wooden boat across the sea that Y’shua called with a word. We will visit Capernaum,  Y’shua’s ministry headquarters and then go up the Mount of the Beatitudes; the
contemporary church at Tabga celebrates the Miracle of the Multiplication.  We will view Syria, Lebanon and Jordan from Mount Ben Tal, an abandoned military outpost.  The ancient Katzrin Talmudic Village will transport us to the days between the Temples during which the Talmud was written — much of it right here. Here, dressed in ancient costumes, we will have dinner. Overnight on the Galilee.

Monday, October 5
We travel to Tzfat (Safed) one of the four holy cities of Israel, which is known for Jewish spirituality. We will have a lecture on Jewish
mysticism and the Zohar, the book of the Kabbala by people who practice and study it, and then tour some the interesting synagogues and the famous artist quarter of Tzfat. Traveling north we visit Banias (biblical Caesarea Philippi) where we will learn what Y’shua meant when He spoke of "the gates of hell." Then on to Tel Dan, one of the sources of the Jordan River. We'll hike through the park, see foliage, rushing water and the remains of an ancient altar from the tribe of Dan.             Overnight on the Galilee.
Tuesday, October 6
We leave the Sea of Galilee and stop at Beit She’an, the largest Roman archeological find outside of Rome itself and where the bodies of Saul and
Jonathan were nailed to the city wall. We continue south through the Jordan River Valley to the lowest point on the earth, the Dead Sea, on the way we will discuss many of the people of the Bible as we pass the places where they became famous.  At the Dead Sea we can enjoy the therapeutic mud and waters of healing. Masada is the site of the great and final siege of the Zealots, in rebellion to Rome because of their faith. This evening, we will enjoy dinner with Father Abraham.  After dinner we ascend to Jerusalem, which is like no other city on earth.                                                     Overnight in Jerusalem
Wednesday, October 7
From the Mount of Olives we will overlook the ancient city with a view like nowhere else. Our tour of the Old City will take us through the streets of ancient Israel. Along the way, we will meet some friends who will answer many of your questions about Jewish life and will have some really great shopping stops! Next we tour one of the most amazing archaeological sites in all Israel, the Western Wall (Rabbis) Tunnels, as we venture below the modern neighborhoods right on the very paving stones that were there in the time of Y’shua.            Overnight in Jerusalem.

Thursday, October 8
Steps were the primary access point to the ancient Temple. Standing upon them is to walk upon the footsteps of all of Biblical Israel. We will proceed to the City of David, the original site of Jerusalem where most of the Old Testament was written. We will walk over the area of King David's palace and then we will dip our feet in the Pool of Siloam. In the Kidron Valley we actually dig through debris from the Temple Mount where artifacts of both the First and Second Temples have been uncovered.
This evening, we will join with thousands of Christians from around the world to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and honor the people of Israel.   Overnight in Jerusalem.
Friday, October 9
This morning, we will pray in the Great Synagogue where Rav Kook established worship in the modern Holy City. We pass the Knesset (Parliament) and the Menorah the symbol of The State of Israel we will visit the Israel Museum for a look at the model of the Second Temple Jerusalem and the Shrine of the Book where we will see many of the oldest fragments of the Bible. Yad Vashem is the Holocaust Memorial, not merely a museum; there, you will experience the horror of the holocaust. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Saturday, October 10
Ah, Shabbat in Jerusalem! Today, we will spend the day in worship first at our hotel and then, during the afternoon, we will go to the Western Wall to pray with hundreds of Jerusalemites before we visit the Garden Tomb where we will share communion.  This afternoon, we will take time to visit Ben Yehuda Street where we will enjoy lunch in one of its many sidewalk cafes and do our last minute shopping before returning to the hotel for our farewell dinner before our flight home.
Sunday, October 11
We will return to DFW at 2:30 pm with memories to last a lifetime and plans to return as soon as we can.
