Located in Michigan City, Indiana, the Fiber Bond Corporation is dedicated to the manufacturing and fabrication of high-quality air filtration products for the HVAC and coating industries. Much of the synthetic filter technology used today in the air filtration industry started at Fiber Bond. Founded in the early 1950s, Fiber Bond was granted a patent for an “Air Permeable Fibrous Batt” in 1957, with one of its applications being the use as an air filter.
The first synthetic filters to enter the world of fiberglass were marketed under the trade name Ulok. The concept was to offer a high-loft batt of scrim-backed synthetic fibers, which would provide depth loading and extended service life. Fiber Bond’s wide range of synthetic self-sealing panels are based on this original concept.
Fiber Bond’s latest innovation, VE3, is a leap forward in the fight against COVID-19. Available in select Fiber Bond products, patent-pending VE3technology has been independently lab tested by Microbac Laboratories, the global leader in SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) testing with regulatory approved protocols. The test results demonstrate a 99.99% inactivation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus particles captured in the filtration media that contains VE3technology.
