This is a mechanical and chemical reduction filter.

IMPORTANT:
This water filter is a Certified Genuine Part (CGP). Use a CGP filter for maximum refrigerator performance. To reduce the risk associated with property damage due to water leakage, you must read and follow installation instructions before installation and use of this product. The disposable cartridge must be changed at least every 6 months.

The contaminants or other substances reduced by this water filter are not necessarily in all users' water.

IMPORTANT:
Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

Systems that are certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts. Use only on public water supplies, municipally treated water or other supply known to be microbiologically safe.
